A poem

Untitled Poem by Melissa

I know how kinda pretentious that sounds, and no one is forcing you to read what I've written so i think that makes me feel better

Everything burning
swirling
hurdeling
contagious
looking for an end
a begining
a continu um
like a being
infinite in space
in time
the final end
the resting place
the thoughts of where
of why
Esp. of what-
what we shall
B E C O M E
Myself. finding, reaching searching
grasping
Knowledge straws
slurping sipping drinking
life,
death
& so it continues
start @ the begining & don't
S T O P
the circle swirls
-above our heads-
Below our feet-
Through us-
around us-
Why?
are we asking
Knowing, full well, all answers
there are no questions
gone
away
like of wind
moments, thoughts, reasons
never found
left questioning
Not searching
devouring
Humanity black clouds
Empty heads
hands
hearts full of

QUESTIONS
none left
to find out
find me
wander aimlessly
toward a goal
Gold found
thinking, reasoning
question the questions
so far
out
there you're in
a loop burning
yearning
Red, blue purple purposes
Lacking define direction
UP Right
differences combined
EQUALITY for all none
get "it"
they want wait
growing larger in body
in wallets
in heads
of frustrated plans and roads
never taken
of maybes of should haves
halves no holes
transparent windows
gaze at life and frustration
oblivious street walkers
Grey street lamp illuminate
a path
a foot
treading onward
upward
led away
astray
gone today
take me
Let me lead-
never follow
bumpers to bumpers
Until all is over
& circles stop circling
vultures not craving bodies
but souls
And
we
shall
continue
tomorrow.
